In 2018 we have some exciting projects lined up and yes the offers on this page are to help with the development, think of it as a crowdfunding effort. Below are the projects that have been set out for development, their process flows have been documented and we are beginning work on them, but we want to get them to you as quickly as possible, so raising funds this way means that we can spend more time on developing plugins and not have to worry about other work.
The offer is – buy any plugin we have currently released and you’ll get a voucher for one of the future releases, any value!!!!! The only restriction is that you cannot use it against a plugin we have already released. So buy Structure for £20 and we’ll give you a voucher that could possibly be worth up to £40 (proposed price of MSg Rack and Contra 2.0).
Do we not have anything you want or already own the plugins you need that we’ve released, I’m not going to say you cannot take advantage of this offer, after all, it is crowdfunding. At the bottom you can grab one of these future plugins for just £5, it is after all a crowdfunding campaign to try and raise money so we can get a stand at AES, New York in October and NAMM in 2019. You can also if you wanted to really show some support and get yourself a real deal, get a plugin with the free voucher and buy another future plugin for just £5, that is a steal!!
S.F.V stands for ‘Space For Vocals’ a simple little tool a bit like Structure, which I think is going to be an amazing time saver for anyone mixing tracks, with vocals. To get them front and centre can be a little bit difficult, especially in a mix with lots of other things going on. S.F.V. Essentially a type of EQ, it will operate either in a single channel mono mode or in Mid/Side more when on a stereo track, which I think is the better of the 2 options in my tests.
One of our big projects for this year, is to completely overhaul Contra. The audition process is being completely redesigned and will feature the LUFS settings that you can find on Structure. We are also looking at a drag to DAW feature, where you can take the plugin that works best for you and put it straight into an insert slot in your DAW, to help free up system resources. We also have a very special feature coming which will allow you to make comparisons, against different plugins on different tracks
Blend takes inspiration from a rather well known technique, of using 3-4 compressors and sending a vocal into all of them and mixing them back into the track. Blend will be able to host up to 3 plugins and will add more functionality including hi and low pass filters, as well as a unique crossfade style way of blending the amount of each plugin returned. You will be able to blend different reverbs, compressors and effects together.
Lush, a plugin I stumbled across whilst playing with ideas for an early concept of Depth, this plugin is a thickening plugin which works really well on music busses and can also help with create really warm, strings and pads.
Stochas is an ongoing project with loads of great feature requests and ideas, coming from the growing community of users. The next big development will see several different triggering methods to start playback, which will include the ability to use Stochas with Ableton’s session view and drop in a single midi note into the session and have it trigger a different pattern or layer in Stochas.
A full rack version of MSg, allowing you to load up to 5 independent plugins into the mid and side slots, we see this as being a great tool for mastering and bus channels, allowing even more creative options when mixing.
Depth is front to back placement plugin, helping with getting things to fit just right in the 3-dimensional space of the mix. Combining several psycho-acoustic principles, into a handful of parameters so that you can dial in just the right amount of each to make sure everything sits in the mix, exactly as it should.
Grit, a different style of distortion plugin, which we think will create completely different soundscapes and types of distortion and makes use of some of the concepts behind Life. Tests are already producing some amazing results on guitars and aggressive synthss
This offer has been extended and now is available till the end of August 2018 so you have plenty of time to demo our plugins and see if they fit into your workflow / style of mixing and still get your free plugin voucher.
Think we have some great ideas?
Want everything we ever develop? I have a note book with another 4 ideas that I have to start researching for 2019. If yes, then I am offering 500 lucky individuals the opportunity to buy a lifetime of plugins at a crazy price of £200, for all the plugins we develop in the future. That is still over £50 off what a complete bundle with the above plugins will cost (estimated price £250)
